on this day (30/03/10) the ews manager train ran from toton to london to doncaster and back then back to toton meaning it came through my home town 4 times. i managed to get it 3 times out of 4 and you can see it in action on my youtube
this will be the final event from march as tomorrow i'm out and the day after is april

Today was my second visit to the Great Central Railway this year it is an additional as i didn't originally plan to attend but then when i saw the line up i decided i had to go.
running on the day i went was 60163 tornado, 80072 (br standard 4MT), 5690 leander, 44767 (george stephenson), 47406, D8098, D5185 and a DMU
the line ran a great variety of trains like the normal 2 MK1 sets, a local set, a parcels set, TPO set and 2 freight rakes.
unlike the last time i went late running wasn't as bad as what it was last time i went it started going slightly late but the railway soon made up time until leander went up to leicester again (both times caused the late running)
other than that i had an absolutely fantastic day out in the midlands and give this event 8/10

Today marked a lot of history in the North Norfolk Railway's history book after a lot of hard work they have finally been reconnected to network rail after atleast 40 years of being separated
march 11th was the official opening date when britania class no. 70013 oliver cromwell arrived with a railtour from london via ely, norwich and cromer to meet celebrity pete waterman to open the level crossing
me and jason went down to sheringham for the day to see it happen we also met up with fred (youtube name 170202) and lee (37427)
in all a fantastic day out and because of the effort on everyone's part and to everyone for a fantastic day out i give this event a massive 10 out of 10

on the 6/7th of march the nene valley railway held it's anual spring diesel gala with guest appearances from 20048, 31128, D182 and 66720. also appearing at wansford was a wcrc class 47 which pulled the convoy about and 37518 which allegedly left on the sunday
a first for this year for me was 100% lineside because i couldn't be bothered to bash and it was a little to pricy this year and the line up didn't appeal to me despite the appearance of 2 class 31s
in all i give this event 6 out of 10
thanks to GEG, YRF, tom, ali and james for company on saturday and to stephen, jason, noakesy and nathan for company on sunday
