it's very rare for you to find me with any interest in football but thanks to DRS47501 for informing me that there was to be a footex taking arsenal fans from london to leeds via peterborough and doncaster but after finding times was shocked at how rediculous they were. the outward leg was due through the normal time i finished work and the return in the rediculous hours of the next morning. so i rushed through work and finished early so got on the chase.
unfortunately i didn't win and got no shots or video. had i arrived a minute earlier i would've copped a 67 i need and WB64

Hi all, Happy new year :) sorry it's late i've been having my usual stuff prolonging updates again. i know i need to get it sorted, i'll try.

anyway 2011 buisness... started off by popping down to the nene valley railway for my first cops of the year. 377 King Hakkon 7 and class 14 D9523 on the winter warmers, then there was a big moment of nothingness until 60015 appeared on 6Z84 ely - peak forest. 60015 paused at peterborough for a crew change and because it stopped in the station i asked for a quick visit to the nice cab. moving on to the 15th of January i decided to start off my rail miles for 2011 by doing an anglia rover. much to my surprise my mates david, chris, max (317666), hitchin trains & fred (nxea170202) were doing the rover too, so we eventually met up and i bashed the class 90s all day ending up with haulage on 90001, 90014, 90008, 90005, 90003 & 90036. to end the day (and after 5 and a half return journeys between norwich and ipswich i ended the day on 170202 and clocking up 678 miles and 78 chains. overall a fantastic day out and start to the year despite the shortage of video. photos can be seen on my fotop
